Hi beauties!
Happy Tuesday!
I had so many questions and compliments on this dress I wore to the city the other day, I had to share it with you guys. Ruffles, ruffles and some more ruffles. But, first let me talk about something very important and dear to my heart…. comparison.
Comparison is the thief of joy.
We all struggle with it… I know I did, and you probably are too. It’s just hard not to compare ourselves to others on social media, such as Instagram. Of course everyone posts their best, most pleasant and appealing photos on their feed – I know I do, or at least I try to. So you wake up in the morning, start scrolling through your Instagram page and cannot but compare your morning to their picture perfect morning. Yet, you don’t know what is all hidden behind that photo…. which is why I have decided to stop comparing myself to others (in general) and have learned to find my purpose in motherhood.
If you thoroughly analyze this sentence and repeat it to yourself a few times throughout the day – you will stop comparing your life to others, “Comparison is the thief of joy”. Think about it this way, every time you wish you were in someone else’s situation or in their picture perfect life, know that you are robbing yourself of valuable time with your little one(s) or just yourself “me time”.
Every time you scroll through social media and see a perfectly staged photo of beautiful flowers and coffee and wish it was you, know that you just wasted that time on someone that’s not even worth your time and could have been creating your own memories.
Every time you wish you were in their perfect little square, know that they may be struggling with something bigger and this is their outlet. So, the next time you want to be in someone else’s perfectly squared feed, embrace yours and find positivity in your own surroundings, even on the toughest days. Find inspiration in little things, apply them to your daily life as it best fits.
And if you read this far, I applaud you for your willingness to be open minded and accept other’s advice — from one mama, to another you are truly doing your best. Find your purpose in motherhood mama.

Give me all the stripes Dress
Now, onto the dress – I love stripes and I love versatile clothing like this dress! Believe it or not, I am a huge sneakers fan and any piece that can be paired up with sneakers is a winner in my books! This dress can easily be worn casual as I did for our coffee date in the city or dresses up with heels/wedges. This dress also makes for perfect cover up at the beach, as almost every dress can be.
I love the ruffled skirt and the ruffled sleeves, perfectly on trend. You can add some bold statement pieces to make the outfit even more appealing. It’s really perfect for Summer. Just for reference, I am wearing size Small.

Hoosier Mama Pie Company & Dollop Coffee House
Also, if you are in the area you must visit Hoosier Mama Pie Company & Dollop Coffee house in Evanston, IL. Their lattes are on point, and their breakfast menu is even better! People were walking in and out of this place all the time, so busy on Saturday morning’s. It also has a beautiful patio for outdoor seating, just perfect for a morning (or afternoon) coffee date. We didn’t get a chance to try their pies but we had a bluberry scone.
Xoxo,
Vesna
