Our second day in New York with pop of color
Our second day in NYC involved a lot more walking, and a lot less sleep. Like who sleeps when in New York? It’s like having a newborn all over again. We spent the whole day in SOHO, which by the way is my kind of a town. We walked all over, brunched, had coffee, shopped, shopped some more, another coffee, some ice cream, ate dinner and took Uber back to our hotel!
If you missed the First Day in New York you can read all about it HERE.
I really liked Soho! Everything was walking distance too, from one store to another, from restaurant to coffee shop. And, I really like walking. Must be a European thing, as in Europe everyone walks everywhere.
The stores are huge, with a much better selection than your regular same store. By the way, this was probably the biggest Bloomingdale’s I have ever seen!
Soho Park Cafe
This was such a cute little place to have a quick bite, grab a drink or coffee and relax. You could sit inside, and still have a view of the outside as the windows were open. And the patio, was just the cutest. We also stopped by La Colombe coffee shop. Super tiny, barely space for people to squeeze by but the coffee was on point.
Nickel & Diner
We had brunch at Nickel & Dinner. This was probably my favorite food place. Not overly expensive either for Soho. We split lunch, that way we can try more stuff and not over eat. And not to mention their coffee is out of this world. See their full menu here.
Pop of Color Outfit
Can you see a pattern in all of my outfits so far? The leggings! I wasn’t kidding when I said they were on REPEAT. We took a carry-on and I didn’t want to obsess myself over outfits, rather wanted to have the best experience ever. So that meant picking out a few pieces out of my closet and making it work for the three days we were in NYC.
So this day I wore the lace cami that you see in (almost) every pic, this sweater with pop of color, leggings and booties. These booties tho, are one of my favorite affordable fashion purchases. Actually, my whole outfit is affordable, except the leggings ($100) but so worth the price!
I am all about affordable fashion, and investing in a few staples pieces. What about you?
Xoxo, Vesna
Such a great post, Vesna! I wouldn’t sleep in NYC either, there is just too much to explore! I have to try Nickel & Diner next time I’m there. They sound amazing.
X,
Bettina
Thank you so much, Bettina! Definitely, so much to see in NYC!
