Textured Weave Skirt + Blouse Holiday Look
Happy Monday morning, loves! We woke up to a snow blizzard, which meant no school for V and tons of fun in the snow later! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend! I think I am still in a food coma over here… but that’s okay! We did a thing the day after Thanksgiving – we got a real Christmas tree and I cannot even put in words the excitement over it. I’ll share more in the next Blog post. But today, I wanted to share another dressy outfit you can put together for the Holidays.
I feel as though I have three types of outfits in my closet – one being super dressy like this for those rare special occasions, date nights, Holiday gatherings etc., Then, I have the most worn outfits which are the cozy and comfy sweater weather + boots for coffee dates, shopping, brunching, casual strolls. And, then I have the third type of outfits which are the comfiest pajama like outfits that I mainly wear in the house, sometimes for school drop off and quick errand running but always have to add a jacket.
Textured Weave Skirt + Blouse
I already wore this outfit yesterday for a family event but plan on wearing it again. Although I had all three of my babes with me, and having to take care of them I wasn’t uncomfortable. After all, I wasn’t at the park trying to go down a slide with one of them.
This is one of my fave outfits to style. I wore this mini weave skirt paired with this delicate tie front blouse and these black booties. I decided to add tights with print to add a little flare to the outfit and to make the outfit more appropriate for these cooler temps we have been having in Chicago. One small trick for short girls like myself is to wear black tights with ankle boots to make legs longer, as ankle booties can cut on length and make me look much shorter than I am.
This type of a skirt is a staple for Winter months in my opinion, as you can style it several ways. You can add a chunky knit sweater and switch out ankle booties for knee-high boots. You can also pair it up with a body fitting turtleneck and add a long necklace. So many possibilities!
As always, thanks stopping by and reading.
