How I have the best mornings and most productive days
Good morning loves! You may remember a few months back I wrote a post on How to Become a Morning Person and, without a surprise many of you said There is no way I can ever be a morning person.
Well, today I am back with a topic that goes hand in hand with being a morning person. Several of you have messaged me to ask how I manage it all – kids, blog, Instagram, life, etc. So I decided to write this post. Hear me out mamas, I am not trying to beat a dead horse here but if you want to change your unproductive days to productive days and feel accomplished at the end of the day, start waking up early.
As moms we are preoccupied during the day, and like myself with three kids all day with me it’s hard finding some quiet time and peace. That’s why waking up earlier gives me that time to do the things that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to do with them running around all day. Things like blog posts, Instagram posts, scheduling the week, planning photoshoots, etc.
Work
This blog post was made possible because I wake up early every morning and enjoy some quiet and peaceful alone time, while everyone sleeps and write blog posts, schedule them and then post. You may be thinking, well how in the world can you even think about writing that early in the morning – but I can. A fresh face wash, a cup of coffee and I am ready to go. So random, but this helped me get through college, helped me get ahead when I worked at the 9-5 office job, and it’s helping me here on this platform.
I also understand that there are times in your life when waking up early won’t happen, like when you have a baby that doesn’t sleep during the night, newborn stage, pregnancy, etc. but, otherwise I believe that becoming a morning person (early riser) is the key to a successful life, and productive days.
Routine
Create a routine. Make it a commitment to yourself to wake up early every morning and have things that you want to tackle so that the rest of the day looks better for you. Routine has always been a big one for me. I don’t necessarily always need a schedule, but having a routine in place for things that need to be done has always kept me on my toes.
And, if you don’t blog or run a business, do the things that you’d otherwise feel pressured to have done at the end of the day. The other morning, I took out meat that I wanted to use for lunch that day, took laundry downstairs, washed the leftover dishes, and started two blog posts. I even watched half a movie, before the rest of the crew woke up. I literarily had our day figured out too. Get it out of the way in the morning, so that whatever the day brings you’ll be fine with it as you accomplished so much already. Trust me, you’ll be a much happier and calmer mom to those little ones. I know I am.
With this routine, rarely do I ever go to bed feeling unaccomplished. I encourage you to try it.
And if you’re a super productive person, tell me what works for you. I am always looking for tips and suggeations.
Have a great weekend!
As I sit here reading this and drinking my coffee, I’m thinking I should have woke up a little earlier. Great advice!
Our minds work so much better when we wake up a bit earlier. Thank you so much and thank you for stopping by.
