A Day in the Life of a Mama of 3 and Blogger
One of the questions I get a lot is, How do I “do it all” as a full time blogger, content creator, entrepreneur and mama to three under five. Well, first let me just say this. I don’t do it all. Not even close. I do, however organize myself and our day so that it goes as smoothly as possible. Obviously, I know better than to set any expectations.
It really helps to have a good structured routine, a bit of discipline and then a whole lot of fun. Also, changing my perspective on things has helped me tremendously.
The boys are at a point of a morning routine, so when they wake up they know to make their beds that is, zip them up {thanks to Beddy’s Beds}, change out of pajamas into outfits I already put out for them, and put their pajamas under their pillow. Then they come out and turn on a show while waiting for breakfast. It took me sometime to get this in practice, but I did it and it makes my mornings SO much easier.

Trying to sit and have coffee with them is like impossible because Anastasija just wants to go and go. But, I still do it. And, she is usually in her stroller enjoying her snack.
Getting things done
And, I have mentioned this before but a lot of my work gets done before they even wake up and you can read all about that here. But, also my make-up routine is done in five minutes or less, which you can read here, so I am ready to take on the day with all three. I usually get ready either before they wake up or right after we have breakfast… because we all know how hungry they are when they wake up haha!

She is the boss. I go where she goes.

She is mad because she wants to get out and walk.
Self-Care is important Mamas
My husband works long hours, heck sometimes it feels like he works 24/7 so I am parenting solo a lot of time. I am just trying to do my best and keep everyone happy as much as possible. But, at the same time I don’t want to neglect self-care so I always makes sure to make time for myself to do things that make me happy. I like to do my makeup, and get dressed because that makes me feel good. Depending on the day and where we are going is how I prepare my outfit too. This outfit here was for a weekend stroll with the kiddos, getting ice cream and then lunch. I felt really great wearing this and walking around the town with them. Probably not something I’d wear to the park tho 🙂 And, if we are at home all day I have cute joggers that I love to wear with some tops. I like my lounge wear to be cute too!
Also, I don’t have a set amount of work I should get done or make unrealistic deadlines for myself. Everyone knows that with kids you cannot make strict plans, and that you have to bend a little. Which is why, I have learned to spread my work, and do things at a pace that works for me. I still meet all my work deadlines, and get everything done.
I thought it would be fun to share what a typical day with us looks like, and since today is Tuesday here is a snapshot of a “typical Tuesday”
A Day with Us
530 I wake up every day to have coffee in peace, catch up on emails, work on the blog and everything else
745 everyone is up and we are eating breakfast **with the exception of MWF they wake up at 730 to get ready for school
830 the kiddos are all playing and we are getting ready to head out for a walk and play at the park **with the exception of MWF we are walking to V’s school to drop him off & then we head to the park, library, run errands, etc.
1030 we usually pick up some groceries on the way back that we may need for the week and maybe some fresh flowers
1130 we make a quick lunch for the day and/or we may have had something made the day before
1230 we eat lunch & off to nap-time for all three. All three still nap for me, thank you God! And if it happens that V doesn’t nap sometimes, he still has “quiet” time in his room
while they nap I try to finish up work, tidy up the house a bit because I cannot just look at the mess. If there is laundry I do that next, and then relax while they nap. I don’t like to do much, in fact I treat is as “me time” and do not disturb me haha!
3pm they usually wake up and if not by 330 I wake them up so that we can go outside while it’s nice. Somedays we run some errands, other days we had for a walk, to the park, etc. as long as we can go outside. When we get back in V usually finished up any homework he had.
630pm is usually dinner for us.
730pm is bath time & they can watch a show before it’s bed time
830 everyone is in bed. They have brushed their teeth and it’s short story time.
Some nights they won’t fall asleep for a while and I hear them talking and giggling. It’s kind of cute.
When they do fall asleep I try to catch up on any posts, emails, etc.
1030pm I am usually sound asleep 🙂
I know that no two days are the same in a life of mama, but this is typical Tuesdays/Thursdays for us. Monday, Wednesday and Friday look a little different because V goes to school from 8:45am to 11:15am.
Thank you for always showing your support and being there. I love you guys! And, honestly this community is amazing. I am so thankful for getting to connect with everyone. Sending hugs! Xoxo, Vesna
Love this! Super mama! 🙌 So many great tips! Waking up before the kid(s), something I am still working on some days, good organization, planning ahead, not having high expectations & learning to go with the flow works for me too! 💓
Thank you Jana! So glad you found it helpful, and just know you are always doing your best. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Thanks for stopping by and reading 😊
Wow love this so much a glimpse into my life with 3 kiddos. Love that you make sure self care is so important
Omg!!! You’re a super mom!! I can’t even imagine waking up at 5:30 but I can definitely relate to parenting solo. The Mr works long hours too and self care is something I definitely need to work on.
Thank you so much for stopping by and reading. You’re too sweet. There is things that I need to do too so I had to organize myself a bit more, now with three kids. And, yes self-care is a priority for me.
