Living Space Update with DHP Furniture

Hi, friends! It’s been a while, I know. The last blog post I shared was before our trip to Europe on the busy boxes for kids. I decided to take a break from blogging while on vacation, and I must say it was great.

But, the moment we came back I jumped into making over our living space. And today, I want to share with you what I have been working on for the past few weeks. If you’ve been following along for a while you know I had a love/hate relationship with our old brown sectional. It was just not bringing joy to me, so it had to go! I am so excited about our living space now that I just may (may) become a homebody now! Haha!

I have always had a thing for home decor, and making our space feel more like home but somehow I have just never been satisfied with my own picks. I always end up on Pinterest finding something better and thinking to myself, “oh I should have done that”. But, this time it’s different. This time I literarily sat down and visually designed everything, pulling pieces from different areas and putting it all together on paper and in my head before making it real life. And, I am obsessed! So obsessed that every morning I wake up and cannot wait to have my morning coffee on my new sofa. Isn’t that the feeling you’re always suppose to have?

I have only had this set for a month or so, but it seems such great quality. It’s so comfortable, a little sturdier than our last set but I prefer it this way. I feel this is more of a set suited for a living room. It pulls the whole room together, and makes our home complete. DHP Furniture has endless options when it comes to style, design and color. I particularly fell in love with this blue velvet color. I wanted a sofa (because we have never had a sofa), with two chairs and an ottoman (so the large patio doors wouldn’t be blocked) and I wanted it to be the center of our living room. Sure enough, it’s the wow factor in our home! This was the perfect amount of seating, and it gave us so much more room.

Also, this time I picked out every piece carefully with thoughtful design in my head. Some things I had from before, other things are new additions.
