A little tribute to all the mother’s today.
To all the beautiful mother’s with their babies in arms, in their hearts, in heaven, those pregnant and those yearning to be mothers — Happy Mother’s Day.
Today marks a special day for all of us. As a mother of four, my heart goes out to you today. The moment you questioned your motherhood, the moment you doubted your ways of mothering, the moment you thought you failed and the moment you thought motherhood was perfect — your children don’t need a perfect mom, they need a happy mom. Today, I am sharing a few moments of our lives just before our fourth member decides to join us (any day now), and want you to believe in yourself, believe in your ability to be a mother and know that no matter what, you are doing an amazing job today, and every day.
God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers. — Rudyard Kipling
We tend to neglect ourselves, our care and often forget to show ourselves love. All because we think that we are not enough, we are not worthy. Being a mother doesn’t mean you need to lose yourself, being a mother doesn’t mean you need to ignore your needs, being a mother certainly doesn’t mean you are doing something wrong. Being a mother is beyond everything. Being a mother is giving yourself grace every day. Being a mother is trying your best. Being a mother is knowing you are doing good. Being a mother means the world to me, and there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for my babies. Motherhood is who I am, it defines me in ways I never knew was possible and it has made me a better woman today. Motherhood means everything to me.
What does motherhood mean to you?
Making breakfast for your kids.
Changing their diaper.
Dressing them up.
Brushing their teeth.
Giving them a snack every five minutes.
Doing laundry on the daily.
Teaching them kindness.
Spending quality time with them.
Bringing them places.
Walking to the park with them.
Smiling together.
Reading books every day.
Laying with them in bed until they fall asleep.
Building blocks and legos a million times a day.
This. And, more is what motherhood means to me.

Today, and every day I want you to know how important you are. Your children will never judge you for not washing your hair, not putting on makeup, doing your nails or having a matching outfit. They will only remember the times you spent with them, laughing and being happy. Remember that. Now, fix your crown and enjoy the day with your loved ones.
