Happy Sunday! I am curious, how long have you been in your home?

It will be seven months for us in just a few days, and I still cannot believe how much we have done. I cannot say these seven months flew by, I feel like time slowed down or maybe I slowed down, just enough to enjoy our home. To enjoy the progress from the day we moved in, to carefully designing each space and furnishing it. I have had so much fun making this house our home.

Another view of two different styles. We have an octagon at the entryway that traditionally, was made for an entry way table but I opted for this.

Ps. Those double French doors currently open to our playroom (if you zoom in you can see). We still have 2/5 kids that I prefer to have an eye on at all times, so we sacrificed this office space for a playroom. But, in a few years it will be our office 🥰

What color did you paint your family room/living room wall?

We are slowly getting every room painted, with exception of our room. I love that color!

I just want to talk paint colors for a moment! I love white walls, but picking the right #whitepaint is so hard! I have done some research on paint colors and finishes, and omg there are so many shades of white, and not every white looks the same in every home. It very much depends on the position of your home and where it’s facing. We did White Dove in the girls’ room & playroom, and wanted to do the same in our formal dining room & living room and it was just “too yellow” so we had to switch gears.

One last thing, I know bold, accent walls are trending right now and some homes just look beautiful with dark colors but if you love neutrals, bright and airy homes, stay true to yourself. Make your home so that you enjoy it, not so it follows a trend.

In other news, yesterday we had a birthday celebration for our son Mateja’s sixth birthday, which is actually next week but we did it on the weekend to make it easier. And, to put it in perspective we had 12 adults and 16 kids 😅 let’s just say I am pretty thankful for all the space in this house because we could have never done this in our previous home. This was the biggest gathering we have had to date. Do you like big gatherings?

I still haven’t concluded what’s happening, but I have noticed a major spike in engagement on the new page and tons of new followers in a short period of time.
