Our home is slowly coming together and while it’s nowhere near done I am really enjoying the process. I want to create a space that we can all enjoy, a space that feels cozy and inviting. Today I am sharing a view of our main level which includes the family room, dining room, kitchen nook, laundry and living room.
If you missed it, we bought a house. You can read more about our journey here.

You’ll also see subtle touches of Fall decor throughout the house. I am not big on seasonal decor, but I do love adding subtle touches and easily transitional pieces like throw pillows, blankets, and floral stems.

I know so many things are currently on backorder and it can be frustrating trying to furnish a home. We lucked out with furniture buying as most items were available to ship immediately or within a few weeks.

I am having so much fun experimenting with different styles, textures and patterns. I have learned not to be afraid of trying different things while still staying within the course of the main design.

The easiest way to keep your home more cohesive throughout each room is to repeat colors, patterns and texture.

You’ll recognize all of these fall stems, pillows and blankets from stories —make sure to check those out if you haven’t yet!

These purple cimicifuga stems are my favorite and they’re currently out of stock, but they’ll be back soon!

Our dining room sits right by the main door, as you enter it’s on your right side.

These gold berry bush stems are the perfect touch of Fall.

I am pretty obsessed with the wall moulding and the arches throughout the house.

Our laundry is very spacious and although I am not sure what more I’ll do here, for now I am beyond happy to have a laundry in-house.

Another space I am pretty obsessed with is our little kitchen nook that’s tucked away and has a view of our backyard. I swapped out the previous curtains and added these. They are from IKEA.

Just our lunch from the other day.

And then the entryway table. I had so much fun styling this space here, mixing some affordable with high end pieces.

It’s possible to have a gorgeous home with little kids, to design a space that brings you joy and kids won’t destroy. I shared my five simple rules when it comes to that and how I maintain light furniture with five kids — you can read more about it here.

I have a many more photos that I couldn’t fit in this post but I’ll be sharing them over the coming weeks on my Instagram—make sure you’re following me there for more inspo.

And that’s a wrap for Home Tour Part I. In the next few weeks, I’ll share a full tour of the basement on Instagram so be sure to follow me there and Home Tour Part II on the Blog as well as our Fall inspired front porch.
