Home Office
I designed my dream Home Office and could not be happier with the outcome. I love light and airy designs with some contrast, and this space perfectly embraces both. I am so honored to have partnered with some of my favorite brands including McGee & Co., for my home office makeover. If you followed along you know that this space was originally an office when we purchased our home, but we turned it into a playroom on the main level for our little ones. Now that they are bigger, we moved the playroom to the Basement and to their rooms. So it was time to for a home office makeover.
I have been dreaming of creating this space, and the first thing I did was create a design board to curate pieces for the vision I had. We took everything out of this room, gave it a fresh coat of paint using one of my favorite neutrals Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. We swapped out the black curtain rods for these beautiful brass ones, and kept the same sheer curtains I love so much from IKEA. They are affordable, durable and so beautiful.
I have been eyeing this designer inspired bubble chandelier from Amazon for far too long and finally pulled the trigger on it for our Home Office. To say I am obsessed would be an understatement. It’s so beautiful, and elegant.

Elson Desk
The Elson desk has the most beautiful clean, simple lines yet impacting statement design. I love the Scandinavian-inpsired waterfall design and it’s simple form. It creates the most aesthetic, and pleasant work environment for me.
While the instinct may be to push the desk against the wall, I really wanted this space to feel light and airy by floating the desk away from the walls. And, traditionally you think the desk should facing the door so that you have a visual as someone enters but I decided to turn it side ways in an untraditional form to give it more interest.

Elton Office Chair
It’s dramatic design adds elegance to the Home Office. I love that it has rolling ability. It comes in an off white and ink color. I picked the ink color to give our Home Office some contrast.

Botanical Renaissance Art
This framed botanical artwork caught my attention instantly. I love its boldness and statement it creates in the Home Office with everything else remaining neutral. The frame is the most beautiful bronze finish, and I love how it compliments the art.
I have been debating whether to hang the art on the wall or leave it leaning on the sideboard against the wall like this.

Wall Trim
I wanted to add some trim to this wall to create an accent wall, but I am not a DIY’er. I wanted something simple, quick and easy to do! I did not want to get tools, or have to cut wood. I found this peel and stick pre-cut, custom wall trim on Etsy and absolutely love it! You measure your wall and pick the design you want, and they ship it to you ready to go. It was so easy to install, and I highly recommend it if you want the same look but not a big DIY’er.
Panel sizing: 3′ – 5′ 3′
Color: Alabaster by Sherwin Williams
After installing the trim, I painted it with Alabaster by Sherwin William, same color as the wall.

Corner
I found this beautiful, oversized abstract art and knew exactly where I wanted to put in in the Home Office. I love the subtle texture, and neutral tones it brings.
I have had this pedestal for a while and I just knew it would be perfect for this corner here. I also found these beautiful cherry blossom stems for spring under $5!

Ariel Sideboard
The Ariel sideboard adds character to the Home Office, and I love the added storage we have. It pairs up perfectly with the pale floors and makes a statement with its curvy front design.
Amber Boucle Swivel Chairs
The Amber Boucle swivel chairs were the perfect addition to the office. I wanted to add accent chairs for additional seating and love how they compliment the space, and make it feel so cozy.
Faro Sculptural Lamp
The Faro Sculptural Lamp adds the organic modern touch that this space needed. I love the curvy shape, and the statement it makes.

RUG
I love how this rug compliments the neutral yet bold design of this space. The grid patterns gives it more interest and visual appeal, not to mention how soft it is under feet.
This is the Cascade by Surya x Our PNW Home gifted, in size 7’10” x 10 in Ivory. It’s one of my favorite affordable rugs.
